Log a meal by typing or saying it
Not every meal is easy to photograph. With Log by text you describe what you ate in everyday words, and Canoz turns the description into calories and macros.
Describe it in your own words
Write something like “2 eggs and toast”, in up to 500 characters. Optional detail chips add context, such as home-made or a large portion. Canoz sends the text to the AI model, which estimates each item's portion, calories, protein, carbs and fats.
Or say it
Tap the microphone and speak. Your words appear in the text field as you talk, and a second tap or two seconds of silence stops the recording.
Your iPhone turns speech into text on the device when it supports your language; otherwise Apple's speech service does, like the keyboard's dictation. Canoz never stores the audio.
Fix a photo result with words
The same screen corrects a photo scan. If the photo missed something, like the oil in a sauce, describe it and Canoz updates the result.
From your wrist
With Canoz Premium you can also dictate a meal on Apple Watch. Your iPhone analyzes the description and the watch shows the calories; nothing is logged until you tap Save.

Is my voice recorded?
Canoz never stores the audio. Your iPhone, or Apple's speech service when on-device recognition is not available for your language, turns speech into text, and Canoz analyzes that text.
How long can a description be?
Up to 500 characters.
What if I do not allow the microphone?
Canoz shows a short hint and puts the cursor in the text field, so you can type or use the keyboard's dictation instead.
Is text logging part of Canoz Premium?
Yes, with a fair daily limit. If you use up the day's photo scans, you can still log meals by text.
