Answers to the most common questions about Canoz, and how to reach us when you need a person.

Restore purchases

Reinstalled Canoz or moved to a new iPhone? Open Settings → Restore purchases in Canoz while you are signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you subscribed with. Your Canoz Premium comes back without paying again.

Cancel or change your subscription

Apple bills Canoz Premium, so the subscription is managed in your Apple Account. In Canoz, tap Settings → Manage subscription, or on your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to stop the next renewal. Deleting the app or your Canoz account does not cancel the subscription. Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Move to a new iPhone

Canoz starts with an anonymous account. In Settings, tap Sign in with Apple to link your account, then sign in with Apple on the new iPhone to get your plan and meals back.

Delete your account

Open Settings → Delete account in Canoz and confirm. Your profile, meals and progress are permanently deleted, and this can't be undone. How long other records are kept is in the privacy policy.

Apple Health access

Turn Apple Health on or off in Canoz under Settings → Apple Health. To choose exactly what Canoz may read and write, open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Apps → Canoz.

You can withdraw your health-data consent at any time in Settings → Health data consent. Canoz then stops analyzing your meals and importing from Apple Health.

Questions and answers

Do I need an account?

No. Canoz creates an anonymous account on first launch. You can link Sign in with Apple to restore your data on a new iPhone, and you can delete everything at any time in Settings → Delete account.

What does Canoz Premium include?

Canoz Premium unlocks daily photo, barcode and label scans, text logging, your full plan, weekly progress insights and logging from Apple Watch. There are weekly and yearly plans, and the app shows the price before you buy. Scans and text logs have fair daily limits.

Does Canoz store my meal photos?

No. Meal photos are sent for analysis and discarded; only the result (dish names, portions and nutrition values) is saved to your log. Before a photo leaves your iPhone it is re-encoded, which removes location and camera metadata.

Is Canoz medical advice?

No. Canoz is a wellness app, not a medical device, and its calorie and nutrition values are estimates. Talk to a doctor or dietitian before making big changes to your diet, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition or have a history of eating disorders.
