Canoz Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Batuhan Ünverdi ("we", "us"), the developer of Canoz ("the app"). By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
1. What Canoz does
Canoz is an AI calorie tracker. It builds a daily calorie and macro plan from your answers, and it estimates the calories and macros of meals from photos or short descriptions. You need an iPhone and an internet connection to use it.
2. Not medical advice
Canoz is a wellness app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any disease, and nothing in it is medical, nutritional or professional advice. Talk to a doctor or dietitian before you start a diet or change your eating, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, take medication, or have a history of eating disorders. Stop using the app and get help if tracking food makes you anxious or unwell.
3. AI estimates can be wrong
Calorie, macro and portion values come from an AI model. They are estimates and can be wrong, for example because of portion size, hidden ingredients, lighting or an unusual dish. Check the results and correct them when needed. You decide what you eat; we are not responsible for decisions based only on the app's estimates.
4. Who can use Canoz
You must be at least 16 years old. Your account starts anonymous. You can link it to Sign in with Apple to restore it on a new phone. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account.
5. Subscriptions, free trial and billing
- Canoz Premium is an auto-renewable subscription with weekly and yearly plans. The price, the billing period and any trial are shown in the app and on Apple's payment sheet before you buy, in the currency of your App Store country.
- Free trial: some plans include a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Apple gives one introductory offer per Apple Account in the Canoz Premium group. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged the plan price.
- Payment: payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Special offers: a discounted plan, such as the yearly offer, renews at the price shown when you bought it, unless the offer says otherwise.
- Cancel or manage: go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or your App Store account settings. Deleting the app or your Canoz account does not cancel the subscription.
- Refunds: Apple handles payments and refunds under its own rules (reportaproblem.apple.com).
- Fair use: Premium includes daily limits on photo scans and text logs so the service stays available and affordable. The app tells you when you reach a limit. Premium is not unlimited.
- Free use: without a subscription you can try one photo scan.
6. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- upload photos you have no right to use, or photos of other people without their permission;
- upload anything illegal, harmful or offensive;
- try to get around usage limits, send automated requests, scrape the service, or reverse-engineer the app;
- interfere with the app, the servers or other users.
We may suspend access if these rules are broken.
7. Your content
Your photos, notes and answers stay yours. You allow us to process them only as needed to run the app, as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not store your meal photos.
8. Our rights
The app, the Canoz name, the cat mascot, the design and the content belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your own, non-commercial purposes.
Nutrition data for packaged products found by barcode comes from Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org) and is available under the Open Database License (ODbL). It is maintained by a community and can contain errors, so check the values on the package.
9. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no duty to provide support for it. Your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). If the two conflict, Apple's agreement prevails for the license to use the app.
10. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it accurate and running, but we do not promise that it is error-free or always available, or that it will help you reach a specific result. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
11. Changes
We may update the app and these terms. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The competent courts and consumer arbitration committees of Türkiye settle disputes. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the mandatory protections and the right to go to court that your country's law gives you.
